Md. Shahadat Hossain, FCA, is Managing Partner at Shahadat Shaharear & Kibria, Chartered Accountants. A distinguished Fellow Chartered Accountant (ICAB), he brings over 15 years of extensive and diversified professional experience in taxation, regulatory affairs, advisory and financial management.
Prior to co-founding SSK, Shahadat served nearly 10 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers Bangladesh Private Limited (PwC), a "Big 4" firm. Instrumental from its initial journey in Bangladesh, he rose to Associate Director in Tax and Regulatory Services, advising a diverse portfolio of multinational (e.g., HSBC, Huawei, Rolls-Royce, Citibank, Standard Chartered, DHL, General Electric, GE Healthcare, Novo Nordisk, P & G, RAK, Samsung, Wipro, S C Johnson and domestic clients.
Shahadat’s deep expertise lies in Indirect Taxation (VAT, Supplementary Duty, Customs), where he has guided numerous organizations through complex compliance landscapes, tax planning, due diligence, litigation support, and strategic advisory. He played a pivotal role assisting clients with the VAT & SD Act, 2012 transition. His proficiency also extends to Corporate Tax advisory and Mergers & Acquisitions tax due diligence. Furthermore, Shahadat is deeply engaged in the registration and ongoing compliance management for major non-resident digital companies in Bangladesh, including Google, Facebook, Amazon, Netflix, and Zoom, overseeing their adherence to local regulations. He has a proven track record of successfully representing clients before the National Board of Revenue (NBR) across sectors including Banking, Financial Services, Manufacturing, FMCG and Technology.
His foundational experience includes ACNABIN (Articleship) and Prime Finance Capital Management. Holding an MBA and BBA from Dhaka University, Shahadat leverages his profound expertise to establish Shahadat Shaharear & Kibria as a trusted advisor, delivering innovative solutions in Bangladesh.
